Jamie Rhodes, founder and CEO of Austin Usability, Inc. since its inception in 1999, has experience spanning 25 years of technology management in software development and software services for both Fortune 500 companies and startups. Jamie was a founding employee of National Instruments, Austin’s 2nd most successful startup. Besides leadership roles in both venture backed and bootstrapped startups, Jamie spent nine years in management at IBM with program management responsibility for such efforts as Object Oriented System Management and Warp Server. Jamie has a B.S. degree in Communications and computer programming and a Masters Degree in business from The University of Texas at Austin. Steve Guengerich, President, joined Austin Usability in 2003. Steve has worked in IT management consulting for more than 20 years and was a founding shareholder of BSG Corporation, a leading national client/server systems integrator in the 1990s. More recently, he served as CEO of Easter-Seals Central Texas and as a principal with Powershift Group. He is an award-winning writer and author/contributor for 8 computer books. Steve has a B.S. degree in Economics from Howard Payne University’s Academy of Freedom and a M.B.A from Texas A&M University. Austin Usability enjoys giving back to the community, with employees involved in professional organizations, church groups, and community non-profits ranging from the Lance Armstrong Foundation to EarthShare of Texas. Both Jamie and Steve are members of the board of directors of Knowbility, Inc., an organization that works to provide accessible technology to support the independence of people with disabilities. In 2002, Jamie was the Chairman of Knowbility’s AIR-Austin, the local Accessibility Internet Rally. Steve serves as the founding chairman of the board of Knowbility, Inc.
